Description
It was made together with the Curved Knife, the Bowie and another Dagger which I have to assembly, years ago.
The delay is due to the handle lacquering, which I had to wait a friend almost five years for that.
As the other two knives this is made out of an old WWII dodge leaf spring, annealed, hand shaped and smoothed, I possess no proper grinding stone wheel, so the bevel was made with metal file and sandpaper, then it was quenched and finally hard tempered.
The handle is a single block of beech wood, carved from a small log, the entire knife is kept together by two brass rivets, there is a certain pressure backward on the wood which keeps the whole knife properly stable.
The guard is made out of brass, a piece from a small rod of unknown purpose I found.
The blade is not sharpened, almost semi sharp and very uniform.
I made a guard, not present into the picture, sewn by hand, with an old treated dark leather piece from a factory that closed.
It's approximately 30 centimeter long.
