Part of a trade with olympvs , who was very patient with me while I worked on a bunch of different things. This is of her Mothcat Avery, travelling among some scenery inspired by the foggy coast of the Pacific Northwest - which I have had the pleasure of visiting a number of times, and am always in awe of! I also really enjoyed the chance to draw Avery again as well QvQ Hope you like it!

Shrike I have had this sitting in my notifications for Ages, because everytime I try to open it to say something coherent about how gorgeous it is, about how perfectly evocative the setting is, about the stunning amount of detail and the way you've beautifully captured Avery's somber side, I just end up as a mess.Β
So perhaps one day I will be able to leave a Thorough and Detailed comment about how much this means to me, but for now just know I love u Endlessly, and thank you thank you for giving me my Perfect boy.Β

The rendering on Avery's fur just looks so soft like if I touched my screen I'd feel nice soft fur.Β

did i mention how much i love this??? A LOT!! (vague, but all i can muster in my informal voice bc im terrible)
Basically the distance in this image is amazing -- the reflection of the water is a close second as my favorite thing about this
and the poofy clouds are just so ...soft...i wanna just ...take a nap in them ...
also your tree shapes are great please teach me how to not give up with trees

As for trees just... you know I don't like drawing clumps of trees a lot either but those little lines that hint at trunks and branches on top of the base help a lot...
