Description Swaying, please sway me with your heady words
Like wine they fill and overpower
Intoxicated on the taste of your voice, your song
I drink you in deep gasping needful breaths
And fall in love with the mournful joyful ways you move me
Your words which drug me
Dance me into the oblivion of your emotions
I ride the highs and lows of your breaking heart

My senses dance and reel
Upon the waves of the overwhelming,
The undeniable, the almost tactile feelings
Of the words I hear and see
But not the words I speak
My words taste bland
Sit heavy on my tongue
And gag me with mild insincerity

And I, this ugly hollow vampire
Living off borrowed sensation
Do writhe in the ecstasy and pain of strangers' hearts
They sigh out as I breathe in
Their damned and desperate, screaming whispers
Released from their foreign souls
Thus I devour countless tomes and tracks
As if volume could restore life to this rusty salt river

My passions beat sluggishly, coagulated
Lame and slow round lazy paths
This heart pumps aimlessly
The convoluted, red-blue highways of my retarded emotion
Could I but find myself out of this disingenuous
Constant stream of almost insightful wisdom
Could I but exert the arrested muscle
Maybe I’d bleed red

So touch me with words on fire
And burn in me open holes
Wail and pant and scream your raw-like needs
Your deep desires, the passion pain that moves you so
Leave me not in shallow pools of hypothesis and deduction
No more can I swallow their clear and clinical anesthetizing light
I want to leave behind these thoughts which race in circles
Towards some obscure finish line

So sing and scribble loud your priceless tears
Your uncontained, your overflow
Let it spill unto these eyes and ears
And fill up empty veins with your torment joy
Draw out the way to where hearts pump furiously
The peril and turmoil beneath skin’s placid surface
Show me that wretched, dark, sinful beauty you possess
And like electricity spark the circuits of this dying heart
