Arc 2 : Winds of Change
Quest 1 - Journey :
They'd set sail for the Empire at dawn, with fair winds and reasonably calm seas seeing them off. Mano looked out at the endless expanse of blue and wondered for the hundredth time if this was the right decision. Everything about this endeavor seemed like a bad idea... This whole mess was because of the previous king, and where was he now? Probably dead in a ditch somewhere. All they knew was he hadn't returned to the ship, but hadn't been among those captured. The highest ranked pirate caught had been Quartermaster Keir.... Mano cringed and forcibly moved his thoughts off that track.

Inspecting the deck, the Thresher shark noticed his predecessor standing at the stern, appearing to be deep in thought. Dodging around the working crew members, Mano made his way over to their captain.

"So this is really it?" He asked softly, "...We're really going to war with the Empire?"

Baeddan looked at him out of the corner of his eye, "Yep," he sighed.

Running a hand through his hair, Mano fought back a grimace. "I hope you have a good battle plan, sir. Otherwise we're all just following you to the gallows."

The larger shark snorted, "Skip the 'sir' shit." He gave his shorter companion a wry grin, "You better bring the drinks when I meet you there."

Mano let out a bark of laughter, "HAH! That, I can do." The darker male was mildly irritated with himself when he realized that he'd wanted reassurances. But it seemed that for better or worse, Bae was as realistic about their chances as Mano was.... Still, perhaps even ugly honesty was better than pretty lies. Mano sent a silent prayer to whomever watched over rogues like them, they'd need all the help they could get.

I'd originally planned to do a couple more pics, at least Mano packing his stuff and saying good bye to his parents and/or friends, but I'm not so keen on the restrictions regarding taur forms, so I'm prob just gonna do this one.
