It's been a while since I've had some art I'm proud to show. It's been quite a struggle finding a new place my mom and I can live so we don't have to house with my grandmother anymore. Being practically forced to caretake an elderly woman due to quarantine took a huge toll on my mental health in a way that I basically forgot how to take care of myself. Being forced to leave a mental health treatment facility because insurance sucks definitely didn't help in that department. But my mom and I finally found a very nice and inexpensive rental house where I can finally recover.. . .
So, here's my attempt at redesigning Sisu from Raya and the Last Dragon. I ended up combining everything I liked from both the concept design and the final product. I understand why they changed it up for the sake that children can handle more simpler designs, but I still feel like it was wasted potential. And, of course, Disney's same-eye syndrome just bugs the hell out of me. And I love the hell out of Akwafina.
