Description A Sangumancer dessicates a pile of corpses using it's blood commanding magic leaving nothing but grey husks. These were several warriors that hoped to defeat her, only to be swiftly beaten to death.

Having given into the will of Stignis, becoming a Sangumancer is the fate of an Arrenguardia who cannot control their wrath. They shed their skin leaving only a bloody underlayer with Stignis' visage faintly grinning on their bodies. Arrenguardia are born with the ability to wield one to two types of elemental magic. Some become enticed by the idea of using a 3rd; blood control. Blood control only becomes available through Stignis worship, and Stignis worship involves giving into your anger, spilling the blood of others onto the ground and drinking blood.

Some Arrenguardia are able to learn some amount of blood control without completely succumbing to Stignis influence, by sort of "jumping the wrath ship early". These Arrenguardia keep their sanity and gain a fringe bit of magic they can use on the side. Those that go in to deep though effectively cease to be Arrenguardia entirely, becoming something closer to a demon. They abandon whatever elemental magic that they had before in favor of blood control magic. While an Arrenguardia's summon will never abandon them, and will always assist them with whatever agenda they have, no matter how wicked, a Sangumancer will stop calling it's summon out once they've become one.

Stignis first presents itself to his followers through a whisper encouraging you to commit an act of violence. He's so subtle that you won't even be able to tell the difference between him and your own conscious. Everyone has a violent thought from time to time, and it's natural; we generally let these thoughts pass and carry on. Yet if one in one hundred cannot resist the urges brought on by Stignis, that one will be able to claim hundreds of lives in Stignis' name.

Sangumancers hold dominion over any blood that they themselves have spilled (that's sort of the rule of blood command magic), so they tend to try to stockpile it. On the flip side, they loose dominion over any blood that someone else forces them to spill. The only way to kill one is to completely exsanguinate it, but you'll weaken it a good bit just by outfighting it and forcing its blood to spill. From there, you'll probably want to light it on fire.

-Something different happens to Setsunians and Demonthrope when they worship Stignis. I'll make them look far more mutated. I shy away from complex character designs as they are hard to draw repeatedly, but I should probably push the bar sometimes.
