First of all I want to say that it's a lovely piece.
The use of several images for a panoramic picture created an interesting distortion which emphasizes the incredible size of Manhattan and its buildings. The different shapes, stretching toward the sky, illinated by hundreds of thousands of lights makes it look like and ocean of shapes, color and life.
Since this is a popular photo spot, the picture is not original from the motive itself, but rather from the concept and the post processing.
In my opinion it has slightly too much contrast and is slightly to sharp (or dA messed up the quality). However, the use of high contrast helps to emphasize the lights.
Concerning the composition, it's definitely good. I might have added another row of shots in the sky, so that the earth/sky ratio would be about 40/60. This could have made it interesting. This big city in contrast to the endlessness of the skies/universe. Then, the distortion is not equally spread, but I understand the idea of only wanting to have Manhattan in this shot.
Anyways, I'm writing too much. A wonderful piece. I give it a e.deviantart.com/emoticons/p/pā¦ " width="15" height="16" alt="" title="+fav" /> and probably a feature e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />
