Israfel and Matthew from my graphic novel/comic.Israfel is the angel of music and Matthew is a dubstep lover. He likes to make his own tracks sometimes, but is a little unsure whether they're good enough to show anyone. When he's with Israfel, he can fight better if there's a beat going on in the background. The louder the music the more powerful they are. Israfel's music can also hypnotize people and make them do things. Especially demons. This does come in handy.

many many references! I've made a blog called fuckyeahbirdwings where I gather as much photo reference as I can.
Also the artist Squidlifecrisis here on DA probably has the best comprehensive guide on how to draw anatomically correct wings on humans.
