Lovely, contemplative, perhaps late afternoon on an early Fall day and the lady stares off into the distance and knows these quiet moments will soon be gone - forever. I also can't help thinking those stairs would support an awesome sword fight.

Actually, my most artistically gifted, darkermusings, this is the second time you have replied to those comments. I find it extremely kind of you to comment at all. The art of fantasy has always stirred me from the illustrations of Nielsen, Robinson, Pyle, Rackham as a child to the first glimpse of "Conan the Adventurer" by Howard with the Frazetta cover. Now a new generation is now exhibiting their works on the internet. I think you are among the small first rank with a genuine feel for fantasy. When time allows I will revisit your site and comment on new work or older works I neglected last time. I only comment if the germ of a remark appears instantly upon viewing. As a writer of Damsel in Distress stories for friends online, I think one of the intangibles that prompts an immediate response is does the picture suggest a story? Is it part of a tale that is going on independent of my viewing it? I see pictures as part of a much larger story and am drawn to those. All your pictures have gorgeous execution, it is the story ones, though, that fill me with the most delight and wonder. Do not feel obligated to respond to any of my comments; they are only your due and the least effort I can make to repay you for the joy your work gives me.

Excellent work with the shadows and colours here! The soft greens do a great job of breaking the monotony of the grey, and the composition really draws the eye to the figure. I love it when pictures have such a well-done focus!
