"H-HEY! Get me out of here! Watch where you're pointing that thing!!!" Lord Sisyphus shouted, squirming in place uselessly. His arms were stuck by his sides as a cone-shaped beam of light was aimed for his chest. It felt slightly warm, though he knew it'd get worse in a few minutes.

"Relax," Crosette cooed mockingly, "If you calm down and tell us your plans, I'll aim it at your arm instead of your body. If you call off your armies, I'll point it away from you entirely~!"

"WHAT?! Why would I do that?! We need wood!" Sisyphus barked.

"Suit yourself, then."

Crosette adjusted the glass device, bringing it closer to Sisyphus' thorax.

"N-NO WAIT! COME ON, I JUST TOLD YOU OUR PLANS! WOOD! THATS IT!" the termite screamed, beginning to feel a sharp burning pain.

"We want specifics!"

"How much more specific can I get?! We're harvesting your tulips, OK?! Then we'll head home!"

Crosette doesn't budge.

"FINE I'll call them off! NOW! Just let me go please!!"

Bentley and Crosette move the machine out of the way, releasing Sisyphus from his bonds and holding both of his arms. Not like he could escape the Great Flower anyways, since it's so high above ground. They walk him outside.

"You give up too easily." Crosette mutters.

This is based off a dream I had! Yea its kind of an anti prompt but I wanted to finally convey what "light torture" is since its shockingly an exclusively verigreen thing. They can be brutal too if given the chance! Anyhow as indicated by Sisyphus' presence in Joyceland and Crosette's design, this takes place years in the past! Sisyphus used to go on expeditions to Flowered City before 'retiring' to help his wife. He obviously wasn't very good at his job, lol.
