Oh, oh, and look! Maaaaagic...wooo! This is actually the second time I've shown magic in use during the comic (I won't tell you where the first one was, but it was Glyn who used it). Eventually I'll explain how the magic system works, but for now just enjoy the shiny lights.

Well, being very familiar with Photoshop is a plus. It gives you more freedom to explore stylistically. Take advantage of layer styles, particularly color-correcting overlays and the like, to bring further unity to the page. And above all, experiment! C:

I know how it feels, EOC's have got me stressed out the wazoo right now, because they just recently changed (like a year ago) the entire structure of the tests and how they ask the questions... I think I'm just bugging out over nothing though. ^^" (wow I used 2 very odd terms of phrase just then. XD)

Is Photoshop Elements an adequate enough program? I don't know anything about special layer types... So I wonder if it doesn't have them...

Yes, I believe Elements should have Layer Styles (also called "Blending Modes"). There should be a pull-down menu in the Layer panel starting with "Normal" and going through all kinds of wonderful options to play with. Give it a try!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it; I wrestled with this one quite a bit.

I always struggle to find the right balance of light and dark to lead you around when I throw colors in there. Starting out in grayscale helps.

Yes, a bit-- though it's more about the control of resources. Magic is not necessarily limited to Magi; normal people can use it too. That's all I'll say for now.
