alright alright!! let’s get this party started, here’s the last diamond, pink! you may notice some yellow in her, and no! that wasn’t a mistake, so let’s give some backstory for that, yeah?

- originally, there was no pink diamond. white had only planned to make three including herself. she had always known yellow was the most violent, however yellow would end up shattering most of the gems made. this would lead to a mass gem shortage, causing white and the other diamonds to use more of their energy and lose more resources.
- one day, in a fit of rage, yellow shattered her pearl. this was whites final straw. she had called for yellow’s execution, which was very much so against blues wishes. she had yellow had grown very close, and though she knew yellows actions where inexcusable, she had still hoped there was some hope left for yellow.
- not having enough power to make a whole new diamond, she used yellows shards to help create one. one that had compassion and empathy, one that wouldn’t shatter more gems. pink diamond was finally born, though no one aside from the diamonds knows what she really looks like. she keeps her face covered in order to not scare the other gems.
(and yes, the yellow in blues outfit is in order to honor yellow diamond, and pinks outbursts from yellows rage)
