Description
These are collar and sleeve devices. In case of sleeve, the year of service device is on the lower arm while the rank is on the upper arm.

These are the rank insignias for the Unified Nations of Earth Space Naval and Marine Services. There is not an Army or Air Force service Branch or even a Coast Guard.
The first line of each is the Paygrade (rank) the second line is the naval name of the rank and the third line is the marine name of the rank. There is only one individual who is wearing the O-11 and one E-10 devices at any one time. These two serves in this position for only four years and then they must retire from service.

The Year of Service (YoS) bar goes directly under the rank device. The years between 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 are marked with a star. These means that a person with a brass YoS device and three silver stars has served for 7 years while an individual with a Bronze YoS and three silver stars has served for 23 years. A 24 year service time is marked with two 12 year devices.
