I like how the snow in the photo seems almost like sand... it gives the feeling that we're on a beach. 
The hue of the sky gives it a dream-like feel, the way the colors vary. And the sign on the right seems to give the photo something more. Power, perhaps.

at first i thought it was a sandy beach - till i realized it was 
i'd put my signature in the lower right hand corner of the work rather than the upper left

It's interesting how the colours compliment and contrast with each other, here.
I like how you've placed it so that the sign is to the right. It adds greater depth, in that sense.
