i love this angle, the mood, the whole composition! you aced the textures. i love that rough style you used in a different way to create the different things like fur, tile, and you even did the sheer pantyhose right! your use of highlights too are excellently placed! wish i can paint like you!
if you dont mind me asking, whats in her right hand? is it a bouquet of flowers?

I like the hushed tone quality. All those different textures are incorporated nicely, I think. You can feel each individual texture. I like the different designs too: the animal print, the stripped shoes etc... Enjoyed the oil on paper work. Mai.

Yes, I know. This was done for a school project and the teacher required it be on some form of paper (so he could transport it easily). All the work I do now is on canvas.

Thank you, I'm glad you like it. I was working on the different types of textures throughout the painting. I wanted the different objects to look different from each other...hoping that people could imagine the feel of the texture they were looking at.

Well, I'm not sure about it's archival ability. It's on a bristol board like paper. I don't use very thick oil layers. These were pretty thin layers/glazes. It's been a year and it seems to be holding up fine. The only major thing I found was that the medium in the oil paints soaks into the paper rather quickly and gives it this velvet-like look...like a matte finish. This effect was pretty immediate (within minutes of me laying the paint down).
