Description This is my entry for the Lara Croft competition. I basically wanted to show where this amazing character comes from in her formation, not only as the Tomb Raider, but also as one of the most powerful female characters in gaming history. Hope all of you enjoy!

Thanks! Hmm... I worked on it for 2 or 3 hours every night for a a few weeks... But I did go back and redraw it a few times... time just blurred after a while, lol

I mostly use Photoshop CS6 and sometimes Painter 11 (just a really fun program).

I love the lighting and the texture. Oh for a minute there I thought the person in the paper in the foreground is supposed to be in the scene I guess because his lighting almost matches the scene lighting. Oops!

I don't think this piece would've stood a chance in the composition given the fact it isn't packed with action and a highly dynamic display, but I find this artwork very charming. Really nice style and lighting, and interesting composition. This is the kind of artwork I would suspect to find somewhere in the booklet of the game.
