"GLORIA" is a free standing, handmade octopus sculpture, it supports itself and is built around a metal armature. Fully detailed sculpture, painted to resemble the species Octopus cyanea, also known as day octopus or big blue octopus. It has been varnished with a satin grade and is signed on the bottom, including the year of creation ('24).

✪ Species Information:
O. cyanea is a beautifully colored, bluish red octopus that can express a wide range of patterns and various textures ranging from smooth to spiky. It is a diurnal creature, meaning it's awake during the day, although it most active at dawn and dusk. The day octopus maintains a den to which it returns after foraging, this can be a rock crevice, a hidden place under an overhang, a hiding place among corals, or a hole excavated in rubble or sand O. cyanea is found on reefs and in shallow waters in the Indo-Pacific. Its range extends from the Red Sea, the East African coast, and Madagascar, to SE Asia, Oceania, and as far as Hawaii.
