Pretty much inspired by those illustrations by James Gurney in all the Dinotopia books.Took me about 2.5 hours

James Gurney's work is so inspirational. I have the privilege of owning one of his books, Color and Light, and would love to get my hands on his Imaginative Realism. This is a very lovely piece, and from the look of your gallery, you have a wonderful way with light. Awesome work!

YES!!! Finally there's someone other than me that likes Dinotopia! The lighting effects on the city is(are?) just beautiful. It really makes the piece have a sunset-like (or sunrise-like?) effect. Kudos to you!.

This is just pure awesomness.
Tones you've chosen are perfect, they are all warm, and it's feels through, it's been a while since I was staring at one piece with that kind of glare...ligtning is amazing, and as I see it, there is no single mistake about it.
Maybe it's just my imagination, but as someone taking intrest in digital painting, I can see the steps of progression on this one. I don't care I can see the lines on waterfall(s), rocks, or else, because DAMN IT FITS, and you knew it. And in so short time?...amazing.
Sadly, I know nothing about Dinotopia.
