Amazing, just amazing! I feel cold just looking at this shot. A scene like this is difficult to expose for, but you did an excellent job. The only thing I would change is maybe crop off a bit of the right side of the image to remove those two branches from the shot leaving only the leading line of fence and trees taking the viewer's eye to the picturesque darker tree off in the distance.

Thanks for the feedback! In fact the 2 branches at the right are wires of a fence, but I agree it's quite distracting... I can feel the cold too, I remember my fingers were frozen while taking this picture^^

Here in Brazil it is summer, and the thermometers reach 50 degrees, it looks a hell, and is torturous stay indoors. It is hot all year round here, but in summer it becomes a real hell on earth. So wanted a little cold. -rs

No, I live in a remote area in a very high hill which I have to go down and up whenever I need to go to town. It's almost like a slum and it takes about 2 hours walk to get anywhere in the city.
But I do not like beaches, Brazilian beaches are not these wonders no, believe me. It has a lot of pollution, dirt, little space and assaults. xD

Indeed all beaches in brazil must not be like the copacabana in Rio! I have a question a lot of people here think about: isn't it weird to celebrate Christmas in winter?

That's very interesting. Personally I can't imagine Christmas without the snow, the chimney fire, the santa wearing gloves and fur coat... I don't think the US launched this fashion, Christmas was always celebrated in winter in Europe, long before the Americas were discovered.

Yeah, so most do not celebrate Christmas, you know, we have the highest taxes in the world, contrary to what many talk around, the Brazilian people is not one of the most cheerful and happy people in the world, and all this thanks to government and high temperatures.
It's impossible to be happy, when at Christmas, are going commercial products and encouraging trade that most here can not afford. You know, with the amount paid on a smartphone here for example, we can buy the 3 equal in the US.
The Brazil wants to imitate the US in much, and wants us to be consumers, but not lower the taxes, so there is no financial position to decorate the house, buy gifts, etc. The only thing that it's cheap here is the beer and the cachaça. So most peoples drinking at Christmas.
I live in the southeast, in the state of Espírito Santo, one of the more "rich" in the country, but only for the rich pockets of the rulers, for here we not see some investment.

That is sad, everywhere the gap between the poorest and the richest is increasing... Brazil has a very important growth rate but it must leaves a lot of people far behind unfortunately. I'm from the region Pays de la Loire, a beautiful area full of history^^

I love that old look the villages here still have today, slates roofs, castles of course (Chateaux de la Loire), Gothic cathedrals, bell towers emerging from wheat fields^^ In those times of globalization, that's something I don't want to lose...
