Description
A picture for fun to celebrate the audaciously cold weather we're having. I've had this idea sitting around in my head for awhile now and thought this was the perfect time to get it done. It turned out pretty much how I wanted it to. So yay! The hardest part was making her not look like Elsa in any way.

Oh wow! That is utterly gorgeous!! 
The colors are so striking, and I particularly love the purple highlights in her hair. The frost, snowflakes, and background are stunning; there's so much detail without being overwhelming. Gorgeous, gorgeous artwork!!

That's sweet. It's always nice to know there are people who want to make you feel your work was well worth it. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all the comments I get, even if it's just a simple "it looks awesome". But detailed comments like yours take me to a new level of inspired and happy. I tend to find most creative souls think in such a way. We all like to get comments of any kind, but you don't necessarily know what you might be doing right, or how to improve, without getting detailed feedback. I noticed that right away joining deviantART, people craving thoughtful critiques, so I knew I was going to make an effort while commenting. It takes a little longer because I have to collect my thoughts, but having artists appreciate it makes it all worth it!
Having said all that, you are absolutely welcome! I'm glad I could make you happy.

Yep. That's it. It's nice to know what you did right or wrong and find out what the audience likes. Of course I don't expect people to put 100% into every comment they write. That would make me a hypocrite, cause I'm also guilty of the "that looks awesome" comment. But once in awhile it is great to get specific comments. I like them and want to make the people that wrote them feel as special as they made me feel. I'm kind of bad at writing so sometimes it takes me a while to get back.
It's really great that you're trying to write detailed comments. The best part is you're a writer, so the comments end up coming out extra spiffy and well expressed.

I agree with all of this 100%. Sometimes there really isn't much for you to say, so writing comments can be difficult. And I'm guilty of fly-by favorites, too, just like everyone else on dA. It's all helpful, all meant as support and sharing the love. Critiques, though, are what help us grow in our chosen creative pursuits, and therefore have more impact on our future endeavors.
Oh, well, I hope my comments come out thoughtful. I admit, the writerly part of me pushes to constantly edit these things. It literally takes me almost 20 minutes to write a solid feedback. XD Anyway, keep up the great work! Your art is amazing!!

I'm sure it does. I also have quite a compulsion to read over and edit what I write constantly too. But hey, better to edit it ten times while you're writing it than to whip it out there all willy-nilly and have like thirty people see it before you realize you've made a big mistake. It's happened to me... I didn't like it.
