I covered this cake in fondant, then airbrushed the purple fade onto the bottom of each tier. Then piped the flowers, leaves, and dragonflies with buttercream and used a clean paint brush to create the look of embroidery.Related content

Thanks! It's called brush embroidery. You pipe an outline and then use the paintbrush to brush the lines toward the center of the design. It has to be done on fondant covered areas.
