Mega Drain

Barrett bites down on an opponent, or digs into them with his fingernails to drain their hp. It works better on opponents with uncovered skin, but usually has little to no effect on those who wear bulky or hard clothing.

Worry Seed

Barrett takes (yet another) seed from his breast pocket and plants it on an opponent, giving them insomnia. However, he usually does this move on himself to stay awake through the night.

Stun Spore

Barrett extends his palm and showers yellow spores on his opponent to paralyse them. He typically uses this move as a prelude to Mega Drain as it's easier to go in close without the risk of getting knocked out.

Because of his sickness, Barrett doesn't romp around or go outside much. He has a big fondness for comfy winter jackets (they must be fashionable too, Barrett's a stickler for fashion) as they help ease the constant cold that he feels. At his core, he's a very sweet and caring boy, but it's overshadowed by the fact that he always appears tired and sick. He's often awkward and stiff when speaking with strangers, but once you get to know him he'll open up a lot.He keeps to himself but he does enjoy company, and secretly feels rather happy when people are actually able to endure his sickness and be his friend. The only times when he actually looks alive/alert is when he's singing, playing an instrument, or spending time with a crush.

Bio: Barrett was diagnosed with Raynaud's Disease, an illness that makes someone feel cold all the time, when he was 11 years old. As a small child he was lively and had plenty of friends, but after contracting this disease, his energy began to slowly die down. His town was constantly snowing, so he wasn't allowed to go outside unless the weather was warmer. Whenever he tried, his hands and nose would freeze up, turn strange colours, and would be bitingly painful.

Eventually, Barrett grew accustomed to spending most of his time indoors. Several of his closer friends did try to visit, but most had just given up simply because Barrett was too sick to do most of the things they could. Soon, he begun to feel exceedingly lonely, and started to shut himself up in his room. Because of his lack of exercise and constant worrying, Barrett started to lose weight, and he felt tired most of the time.

When Barrett turned 16, his parents started to grow worried for him. He'd coop himself up in his room all day, barely talked with anyone (except when his friends came over), and his energy levels were at an all new low. Each night, they'd talk over Barrett's condition when they thought he was asleep.

Eventually, they decided to send him away to Poke-village, where his grandfather lives. According to Barrett's grandfather, it's a small town with a much warmer climate, which would help Barrett's condition. Realising that this would give their son a chance at a better life and better health, they packed him up and took him there a few months later. He's been living at Poke-Village for about half a year now, and though he's far from recovered, his condition does seem to be improving. In addition, he's being encouraged by his grandfather to take his meds, which does help a little.

Currently, his ultimate dream is to be a famous recording artist. He owns a guitar and has a huge stack of songs which he's written himself when he was living in his hometown. Because of this ambition, he's trying very hard to overcome his illness. One of his favourite past times is listening to Chai's radio program 'Afterlife Chant', and he'll tune in till the wee hours of the morning.
