Description
Tifa Lockhart has moved into town and is holding a special event.
Not only as a means to promote the opening for her new Seventh Heaven bar,
but also to establish herself in the boxing world as she aims
to start her career with a splash in order to attract the attention
of the various boxing leagues and its fighters.
Within the week prior to the bar's opening,
Tifa will be accepting challenges for a one-on-one match in the boxing ring.
The first person who is able to defeat her within that week will win a lifetime discount
at her bar (limitations may apply).

Rules are as folows:
1: Since the prize is a discount for alcoholic beverages,
all fighters must be of legal drinking age to register
(various factors will be considered,
including legal drinking age of homeland, individual biology, etc.).
2: Only fighters with acceptable credentials in boxing or other forms of combat experience
can register.
Only so many fights can be held within the span of a week and Tifa only has time for the best!
3: Matches will use standard league rules;
12 three minute rounds where the winner is decided by knockout,
technical knockout, or point-based decision by the referee at the end of the 12th round.
4: Only powers and/or abilities authorized in official league matches will be allowed.
Otherwise, they will be standard boxing matches.
5: Curative materia and healing items will be provided to the fighters in between matches.
Especially for Tifa given that she will most likely be participating in multiple fights a day.
These restoratives will not be allowed during matches,
nor healing of any kind from participants.

The first one to accept Tifa’s challenge was Fairy Tail’s own resident admirer
of alcoholic beverages: Cana Alberona.
She would have preferred to hold out until Tifa fought two or three matches
in order to observe and get an idea on how she fought,
but Cana couldn’t stand the risk of someone else beating her
and taking the prize because she wanted to play it safe.
Tifa was also hesitant about allowing Cana to participate since she was only 18
but was assured that she was of legal drinking age where she came from
and had a high tolerance to alcohol.
“Afraid to get beaten by someone younger than you?” Cana teased. Half-joking, half-goading.
Tifa just chuckled and said, “I suppose it’s a moot point anyway. We’ll see how you fare.”
Not long after, the first match of the Seventh Heaven Opening Event was prepared,
and the two ladies touched gloves and went at it as soon as the bell rung.
Cana started with a few jabs to test Tifa’s reaction,
and the bartender blocked. She knew the young lady was a mage,
but she hadn’t expected this much strength from her,
not aware that Cana could lift barrels of ale with ease.
Tifa had felt stronger blows than this,
but Cana’s strength could wear down her defenses if she wasn’t careful.
So, Tifa changed tactics by avoiding her punches rather than tanking them,
dancing around her attacks with grace. Cana still managed to land a few good hits on Tifa,
but Tifa answered back with some solid blows of her own.
The first round ended with both fighters feeling like they
had a good general idea of their opponent.
Tifa’s cornerman, Cloud Strife, didn’t have much to say other than for her
to keep to her current strategy.
In Cana’s corner, Lucy advised her to stay on the offense.
Even if she couldn’t hit Tifa,
the bartender would tire herself out dancing around so much and get sloppy.
Second round began strong as Tifa got a few good body blows in before Cana
turned up the heat and dominated for the rest of the round.
Tifa was far from being in bad shape,
but she was feeling the hits as she went back to her corner.
Cloud warned her she couldn’t take too many of those blows and suggested
she turn Cana’s strategy against her by using feints.
In round three, Tifa allowed Cana to take the lead for the first minute
before feigning her movements to fool the mage into hitting nothing but air more
than a few times while Tifa’s punches landed enough times to knock her down
for three counts from the referee.
For the next three rounds, Tifa’s maneuvers gradually took effect
as Cana’s movements became sluggish,
resulting in the mage to get frustrated and sloppy as nothing she did
made much of a difference.
It ended with Tifa delivering a haymaker to Cana’s face
and knocking her down long enough for the ref to count to ten.
The first match of the Seventh Heaven Opening Event ended with a victory for Tifa Lockhart.
