I moved to a new place a few months ago and finally got a chance to unpack the last few boxes. I hadn’t realized how much art supplies I’d accumulated and barely used. I am not normally a shopaholic but I love buying plants and art supplies.
... I’ve had some setbacks recently, and instead of feeling depressed/anxious (like I usually do) and doing everything in my power to feel worthy again, I feel unconcerned, maybe a bit angry — at least on the surface — and I don’t really want to do anything other than watch Netflix. Uggh hate this new me and I need to find ways to get motivated again.
Anyway, the combo of seeing all this stuff I’d bought and getting notifications from deviantart that I had some favs 🙂 gave me that motivation. It felt nice to get this drawing done and see the final product.

I’ve used oil pastels and coloured pencils here.
