Description

I made another breviary cover...

This time it is a depiction of St Bonaventure: Franciscan Friar, General minister of the Order, Bishop, Cardinal, and Doctor of the Church. In art he is often depicted as a friar with the robes and hat (galero) of a Cardinal, and writing on a book.

The Franciscan coat of arms makes an appearance again. This time with more detailing of the clouds and a celtic cross.

This time I made the effort to actually paint with more colour variation to emphasise the Cardinal's red vestments and also to highlight the details of his cord.

This was made for a friar who had been doing academic work regarding St Bonaventure.
