Description Giratina makes it into my top 5 favorite pokemon at #3, and is by far my favorite legendary. Not only does it combine my two favorite types in dragon and ghost, but its high HP, and awesome defensive stats make sure it'll stick around for some time. I love the concept of it being the embodiment of antimatter, though I find the assumption that giratina is the devil to arceus' god equally entertaining.

I drew him on top of spear pillar because the cutscene in which he appears there briefly before dragging you into the torn world is awesome and unsettling, and also because I thought it'd be appropriate lol.

If legendaries weren't such a hassle to draw I totally would! I love giratina enough to draw this one, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to sure eject myself to this level of detail on another pokemon lol

I don’t know, after Sword and Shield, I think the role of PokΓ©mon Devil belongs to Eternatus.

Well, giratina was never initially intended to play the role of devil according to gamefreak. Whereas palkia and dialga were embodiments of space and time respectively, giratina was ment to serve as the embodiment of antimatter and all of antimatter's not-yet-understood physics, which is why the torn world didnt look HELLISH so much as just a plane of existence where physics as we understand them had no meaning.

That said, I'll offer this comparison.
Eternatus was sealed away in galar.

Giratina was banished to an entirely new plane of existence by arceus itself due to its violence.

So while eternatus IS incredibly powerful, nothing it's done so far has really required DIVINE INTERVENTION AND BANISHMENT TO THE SHADOW REALM lol
