Description I wasn't after realism on this one, but rather after a stylized look. Well, generally I'm not after realism, I'm after beauty - if realism is what it takes to achieve beauty, so be it. But realism is never a target "per se", for me. I would say realism (and even reality...) is overrated...
Made in Vue.

Tell you the truth, I actually prefer this one. It has a lighting scheme that I prefer, a sort of softer tone to it. Both pictures are beautiful, though.

The main ground cover elements are a grass from bigbraader and a clover patch from Linda Daireaux. The grass is a freebie from bigbraader, available in the "Free stuff" section of Renderosity (search for bigbraader, you should find it). You have to register in the site to access it (it's free). The clover patch is part of a Lush series collection available in Cornucopia3D ([link] ).

"Tutorial in general" is very difficult but if you want to know about some detail, I can tell you.
I learned from reading the Vue manual, analyzing how the Vue sample scenes were made (the ones that come with Vue) and by seeing some tutorials in the internet. At the time there weren't many tutorials available but now there are many! I recommend that you watch the tutorials at Geekatplay and at Cornucopia3D (they are both free). In the first one you can see one tutorial I made and in the second one you can see several.

Yes is true. Arthue Did you use Global radiosity ? It's true ? I agree to you about the realis is never target "per se" ( you are italian ?)

Vue is a special way to create ladscapes of perfect reality try it.

No, in this case I didn't use GR. I normally use it, but not here.
No, I'm not italian, I'm portuguese. "Per se" is a latin expression (it was latin before being italian... )

Well, I must say I agree with you on the realism part. I really like the atmosphere you made for this render. The foreground grass looks so nice, with the flowers in it. And I love the butterfly, a small touch of blue.
