Thank you. I placed there a small hot air balloon to give a bit a sense of scale, even if it's only perceived subconsciously.

Which leads one to wonder how they were carved.

Fantastic-looking piece, and very realistic.

"Something very simple again."
Simple, great. The clouds provide lots of detail to occupy the mind and the statues are a good piece of fantasy.

Thank you! In my mind there is a kind of a script, though only partially verbalized, that unites all the images of the series. But I prefer to keep it to myself to give the viewers a full, unbiased spectrum of interpretation and perception.

oy!Β I didn't see the balloon until you mentioned it.Β Good catch!
The statues appear to be roughly the size of the Statue of Liberty.

I saw the balloon at first sight. The statues remind me of theΒ Christ the redeemer statue foundΒ in Brazil...but much bigger than the statue of liberty.

Hey, I have a question - are those clouds rendered in Vue?
If they are, I had no idea programs were capable of rendering such realistic clouds. I'd be interested in the methodology... are they generated, or based on images, or what? Great work either way, I've looked through a lot of your stuff and am impressed. Thanks.

Β Thanks!
Yes, those clouds (and all my clouds) are entirely procedural (i.e, generated based on mathematical formulas, not on images) and are rendered in Vue as such.

Did a story surface by now?
For whatever mysterious reason, your "The Three" series almost instantly evokes the urge to write a story about them...
I guess that is true art achieving such a reaction with an image (or a series of).
Thanks for sparking my imagination with your marvelous creation.
It's very much appreciated.

Thank you. I'm honored by your kind words.
Not exactly a story and not only about this image but a poem did surface that uses seven of my images as reference, including this one. I loved it. Here:

Hi,
I've been somewhat of a fan for quite a while now. Your works have always been very eye-catching for me.
If I may point something out, the left-most (viewer perspective) and centre mountain look more like they're sitting flat on the clouds than that their peaks are above the clouds. The centre one especially suffers from this, in particular on its left side. Being that I have no real experience with making things like this, I really don't know what to give in terms of advice. It's the bottom edges that stick out for some inexplicable reason, if that helps you with finding a solution. Keep up the good work!
