I see that Super Mario Odyssey has received critical acclaim after its release. Especially because of Cappy, Pauline's return, the Donkey Kong references in New Donk City, the unique concept of Power Moons, Mario's outfits, racing the Koopas, and Mario using Cappy to turn into anything, like an enemy (even Bowser).

I will admit, I do like those aspects of the game. But do I enjoy it as much as everyone else?

The honest answer is...... no. I didn't find this game that good.

There are the following aspects of this game I didn't enjoy:
-Bowser kidnapping Peach to force her into marriage.
-Collecting Power Moons and Purple Coins can get tedious and repetitive.
-Peach was portrayed as more useless than ever. She could've used those fights between Mario and Bowser as an opportunity to escape, but no.
-That awful ending of the game.
-Pauline's "Jump Up, Superstar" song, while it can be fun to listen to the first time, gets annoying after a while.
-Wasted opportunity for Super Luigi Odyssey.
-Wasted opportunity for characters like Daisy, Rosalina, Wario, and modern Donkey Kong to appear. Even if Wario, Waluigi, and Diddy Kong were only costumes.
-Bowser Junior wasn't at the wedding.

This is pretty much the reason I'd rather play stuff like Mario Kart, or Mario sports games than mainstream games.

However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that this game is better than Super Mario Sunshine and the New Super Mario Bros. series.
