I don't know why I never uploaded this little guy, I spent a while on him to get his feathers perfect (and with a crappy horrible tablet pen I don't think I did too badly eh?)He's a Scottish Osprey, very rare birds here in the UK but their numbers are on the increase thanks to the RSPB and everyone protecting their nests from egg theives and hunters.
Ospreys were once extinct in the UK, luckily they returned to Scotland and are now spreading out ever so slightly.. these birds are great, they fly here only for the Summer to breed, I'd love to see an Osprey.. *sigh* Bird+Water = One happy Cuno!
Anyway he was done last year some time, I think in November or October. Perhaps December.. hmm.

There's a ton of Ospreys here in America. I've seen a few of them so far. They are BY FAR my favorite birds of prey, because they're such amazing flyers, yet they can be in water too!

Fwee! I adore ospreys, they are such majestic-looking birds. I live in Scotland myself and have travelled to the more rural, northern places quite a bit but I've never had the fortune of seeing one at a reserve :/ Gorgeous work as always, I love the anatomy and the beautiful pattern on the feathers

See the link, it's like a drawing pad which you connect to your computer so you can use a pen and the pad to draw with. It's not as easy as it sounds however.. takes a LOT of practice because it's slightly different to using pen and paper, I can't fully explain so you'd have to get one but word of warning here, DON'T buy anything cheap, I recommend Wacom Graphire 3 or 4, very easy to use. Although they're expensive, it's better than buying a cheap one and having it screw up on you all the time, and finding it VERY hard to use (which happened to me, please save yourself the time and money and just buy a wacom tabet!)

Oh my, he's adorable-we get a different sort of water-bird nesting out here, it's a wading bird called a Black-crowned Night Heron, they're EVERYWHERE all year up until winter, their babies fall from their nests ALOT because they're horrible nest-builders by default-my sis and I find them all the time-half the timne alive, half the time dead-fledgelings are mean tho-almost got attacked by one once
