The Plague Dogs is such a great book/movie, but it is also so painful. Watching/reading the horrors Rowf and Snitter face in the animal testing lab is unbearable. And the end..... If you don’t know what this book is I highly recommend you find out. It teaches such deep lessons that we rarely address in society. Not only animal rights, but also fear-induced propaganda, ostrichism, and suicide. Wes Anderson’s semi-recent Isle of Dogs is some what based on the Plague Dogs, in a lot of its intense themes.
