I don't know how other people plan stories...With me it starts mostly with some ridiculous dialogue to test out how the characters come along.
well. this is what happens when a mermaid meets a (and here i have to use a german word) Nixe.
I imagined that Nadru comes from the bottom of the see where it always dark... and seeing the water surface is slightly shocking him - like: "Omg! the world can't just end like that!"
Poor Siah has a lot to explain to him!

there is some 'evil' leader of his tribe, but actually Nadru shares his prejudices. They live at the bottom of the sea and are entirely convinced that there is nothing more than that.
I thought there would be more development instead of having a character, that is completely diffrent from the others right from the beginning on.

OMIGAWD. Yes. xD I laughed so hard when I read this - it's so cute that he doesn't know what the sky is!
And dialogue is exactly how I plan my new characters, too - dumb dialogue and inserting them into everyday scenarios just to hear them talk to each other.
I think there's a romanisation of Nixe - in English it's called Nixie.
