Description This piece was commissioned by the author Michele Zorzetto for his upcoming new novel.
He created the concept for this culture that are the "Atlanteans" of his setting, as well as the briefing for the equipment's designs. Through his own words:

"The monarchy of Atlala is the late Neolithic/early Calcholithic Thalassocracy and superpower. Similarly to ancient Egypt, its society is really stable; it didn’t change much from it’s beginning despite existing for several millennia.
This is reflected by the behaviours of its main enforcers, the sacred battalion (the name is a placeholder); even if the world is changing, and the use of metal had become widespread, they oppose innovations and strive to stay loyal to their customs and traditions.
Just like the janissaries, at some point they stopped being a force to be reckoned with and become more preoccupied with the conservation of their privileges. So their equipment, despite being elegant and representative of their rank, is outdated".

This was exactly the idea behind it and I am so happy to hear it hit home. They are supposed to be pretty far down on the evolutionary tree of cultures.

I like it! The lore behind these guys is pretty interesting; especially with the comparisons with the Janissaries.
