This is my Blizzcon Fan Art Contest sub. I don't really expect to win, but I haven't done a contest in a while so I wanted to throw my art into the ring.

I wanted to skip the Thrall x Garrosh fandom, or pandas, or Horde Vs Alliance, or whatever it is that is popular these days. Instead I went for some nostalgia, and included things that represented the true fun I had when I used to play.

Background is Darkshore, and represents that wonder, adventure, and exploration that I experienced when I first started playing. Before I had a slew of alts, before the dungeon finder, before I was raiding or even knew what I was doing. I miss that.

Foreground is my Shadow Priest, Althasaria, in Frozen Shadoweave. It's an old set, but transmogging is all the rage these days, or at least it was when I quit. Anyway, it was my most memorable set and it was the most dear to me, because I spent for-ev-er farming all of those motes and crafted it myself. There's some satisfaction in making something that takes so much effort.

Anyway, I'm sure there's plenty of pros who will take home the prizes, but I hope that mine is enjoyable to look at, even if it doesn't win.
