Labyrinth has been my favorite film for many, many years now, and yet I still feel kinda guilty for shipping Jareth and Sarah so much.Hear me out:
Like, I know pretty much everyone does ship them, but the movie wasn't intended to be a romance (it's basically a coming of age story), and Jareth is kind of a lousy guy (sorry fangirls, it's true) but after I read the Labyrinth manga (interesting story but subpar art) I actually started feeling for Jareth.
Plus, I think Sarah could whip him into shape. He has no power over her after all.
Uh, regardless, I wanted to make them a Valentine.

It's interesting the watch the movie again at different points in life. See the characters & story from other perspectives. (ditto what ~geekspace said about the Goblin King (and about Bowie making it work))

I confess to a finite amount of tolerance for most things elfin-eared, but nonetheless Bowie made this role work so well. 'Sides, for all his fey manipulative malevolence, I'd still consider the Goblin King more redeemable than many a fangirl-approved head villain. Oh, and neat color choice for that floral tidbit & exasperated expression for Sarah alike.
