Sophie had been looking forward to this show for a while. There wasn't much better than the beach covered in bright neon lights in her opinion. It was also going to be her first show with Graumeise.
The two had been working to build their relationship, but it hadn't been as easy as Sophie might have hoped. Mostly due to the fact the stallion was hyperactive. Getting him to focus for long periods of time had been a challenge.
That was exactly why their first show was halter and not a show jumping class. Sophie didn't feel that they were ready for that yet, but she also wanted to get the horse in a ring of some sort. Just so he could start getting used to all the distractions and she hoped things like this would help.
Graumeise was intrigued with all the lights and sounds, and whilst waiting for their turn continued to turn his head in a bid to see every last thing that was happening around him. This made Sophie laugh.
When it was their turn and Sophie started to move forward, it took him a moment to realise as he had been staring off into the distance at another horse.
Once they were in the ring, all eyes were on them.
