Ryan Gosling. DriveTool: 100% Blue ballpoint pen.
I love Ryan Gosling since I saw his brilliant performance in “Half Nelson” and now in “Drive” he has surprised me in a very good way. I will say that his acting ability is one of the main reasons for my personal love for him.
This is a really quick sketch I did after watching “Drive” last week. Crazy good film and soundtrack. It’s been stuck in my head since then.

This is great!... love the way you get detail with a cross hatch effect, it gives it a realy cool effect!.. the film is awsome as well, haven't seen Half Nelson though ill have to check it out.

Thank you! I'm glad you like it. This was just a quick sketch so it is a little bit scratchy but it was really fun to do. I watched Half Nelson some years ago and I liked it a lot. Different tone, but solid acting. Highly recommended in my opinion.

Hola Paula! Pues la verdad es que este dibujo en concreto es un boceto que hice en algo menos de una hora después de ver la película. Se notan mucho más los trazos del crosshatching porque cuando dibujo rápido no tengo tanto cuidado en que quede la superficie homogénea, pero bueno, muchas veces es más divertido dibujar sin poner mucho cuidado y esfuerzo porque así se está más dispuesto experimentar y los resultados son imprevisibles. Por cierto me alegra mucho que hayas encontrado tu Bic, ahora sólo tienes que ponerte a dibujar y ya verás como le coges el tranquillo enseguida.
En general, como foto de referencia, cualquiera puede servir, aunque es mucho más fácil y quedan bastante mejor si son fotos con mucho contraste entre zonas oscuras y claras. No importa si es en blanco y negro o en color, lo importante es que seas capaz de distinguir bien donde irán las sombras y los reflejos.
Y respecto a lo del bachiller, hice el de ciencias. Siempre me ha gustado dibujar a mi ritmo y nunca he recibido clases ni nada parecido. Lo que si me ayudó mucho fue no parar de garabatear durante toda la carrera, que seis añitos de medicina dieron para mucho. Y ahora, pues se hace lo que se puede en el tiempo libre.
Bueno y finalmente, si te gusta el cine un poco “alternativo” te recomiendo que veas Half Nelson. Se podría decir que no es la típica peli americana . Va de un profesor (Ryan Gosling) que esta metido en líos de drogas y la verdad que lo que más me sorprendió fue su actuación. Además este chico tiene mucha capacidad para cambiar de registro. Un actorazo vaya!

La verdad es que la nota que se pide es muy alta. Ahora mismo, no se en cuanto estará, pero seguro que no es poco, pero bueno, lo importante es que si te gusta, vayas a por ello porque es una carrera dura, pero muy bonita. Y dibujar, pues en los ratos libres, para relajarme un poco, pero es cierto que dibujo bastante menos de lo que me apetecería.Bueno, pues espero que todo te vaya bien con los estudios y a ver que tal el boli. Thank you so much for your comment and the fave! I'm sorry for the scratchy pen quality of this piece, but since a while, I just have time to make this kind of quick sketches. Anyway sometimes it's really fun not to put so much effort in them because the results are way more unexpected than you imagined.
And you really should watch it! You should know that It's not the usual car action flick but in my opinion it’s way, way better. Definitly not what I was expecting when I went watch it but it surprised me in a very good way. Furthermore, it has a crushingly addictive soundtrack.
