At first, I thought this quote was referring to Socialism and how the practice of it is more democratically approved, beating that of its fellow rival Communism. After all, Communist and Market “Socialist” regimes have killed tens of millions of people, and left entire regions in extreme poverty. But wait, there’s more, because after looking up this strange looking woman, it turns out that’s she’s a full blown Capitalist.

The entire history of Capitalism is very deep and complex, so I’m not gonna go there. But what I will say is that with Capitalism, we are one of the ONLY western nations on the planet with private entities (mostly corporate monopolies) that rob from the poor and steal for the rich. We have a healthcare system that charges the sick and dying hundreds of thousands of dollars for medical costs and a banking system that makes it nearly impossible for the 90 or so percent to receive loans, let alone hard earned money in general. We have private schools (mostly religious or conservative) that brainwash kids to hate anyone who disagrees with them and markets that don’t give small businesses a fair chance to succeed financially.

While I do support the fact that Ayn cared about individualism and private property rights, I don’t support her bogus idea of economic freedom, letting the corporations run everything. Now yes, I am for free markets, but those markets have to be beneficial for everyone, not just the piggly rich. As a Leftist, we need as many social services as possible to help ensure citizens that their government cares about them, even though that’s not gonna be happening anytime soon. We need a price system that doesn’t fluctuate whenever Bidennomics isn’t working and wages that are placed on the federal level, not the state level.

While Ayn supported Israel in 1973, I support Palestine, because State Capitalism plays a huge role in wars, especially ones regarding domination and genocide. Our government makes billions of dollars from innocent men, women, and children (mostly from other countries) being killed and slaughtered by our indoctrinated soldiers, another key role in the so called “free market” society. Marriage shouldn’t be a legal contract, because it’s the idea of two people finding love and wanting to spend the rest of their lives with each other.

In a quote stated by Thomas Sowell, it reads “Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it.” This…is just simply not true. The only reason why we assume this is because Socialism has never been tried the right way. Honestly, I don’t know what that way would be, or if that way would even work. Trust me, people like Robert Owen and Karl Marx tried this very well, failing at every single obstacle. But regardless on if your pro-free markets or not, Capitalism is NOT working, I repeat, NOT working. We, as enslaved individuals of the world, can continue to go this path. Let the government take our guns, destroy our homes, steal our wealth. Or we can figure out a new economic system that can actually benefit people while still keeping their right to create small businesses freely and competing in the markets.
