My horse actually wound up in this situation today, the silly boy. Long story cut short, my friend was turning him out, took his headcollar off inside the field, he ran backwards back through the gate, took off into the outdoor school, galloped around twice, then stopped in a corner with smashed up jump wings in it, before deciding he did actually want to go into the field and tried to jump the wall from standstill and got stuck, he pretty badly injured himself the silly boy.
