Description
“I don’t like Crowley.” Lucifer pouted, crossing his arms.
“Well, you’ll deal with it. We need to get you five back to normal before anything bad happens.” Dean said, lifting Castiel in one arm and heading down to the basement.
Sam followed him and lifted Balthazar before nodding at Lucifer and Gabe to follow him. The two fledglings followed the moose man down the steps. Dean was already putting down a demon trap with red spray paint.
Sam set Balthazar down and handed him (Name), who was still asleep. He started preparing all the ingredients they needed in a bowl to summon the King of Hell as quickly as possible. He placed the bowl on the ground between them and nodded at Dean. Dean nodded and dropped a lit match into the bowl, creating a large burst of flames. When the flames died down a certain King was caught in the trap; punctual as usual.
“Hello, boys. What brings me here today?” Crowley asked.
“This.” Dean replied, grabbing Lucifer and holding him up. Lucifer stuck out his forked tongue.
“Careful or I’ll cut it off. I’m bigger than you now. But just to be clear, that is Lucifer, isn’t it?”
“Yes. We also have Castiel, Balthazar, Gabriel and, (Name).”
“(Name)? Who’s that?”
“She was my twin sister, that’s who she is” Balthazar shouted protectively.
“My bad then. Well boys, you see now…might have accidently done this. I working on some more than dangerous summoning spells when Castiel poofed in and screwed me up. Something went horribly wrong and, he was turned into this. Soon, I realized he hadn’t been the only one affected. I panicked. I gathered who I could find, threw them into a box and, left them on your doorstep.” Crowley explained, shrugging.
“What!?” Dean exclaimed.
“…Sorry…?”
‘Well, turn them back!”
“It’s not that simple, I can’t…not yet at least. I’ve almost figured it out, I just need a little more time. Just…keep them while I figure it out.”
“No! We don’t want them!”
“You don’t want us?” Castiel asked with big tear filled eyes.
“I thought you liked having us around?” Gabriel joined him.
“No, that’s not what I meant guys I-” The fledglings were gone, scrambling up the stairs and away from the boys.
“Dean!” Sam interjected, “They’re gone. They’re safer here anyways. Besides, Crowley won’t be able to carry (Name) around and she’ll get sick again.”
“Angels can get sick?” Crowley asked.
“Apparently.” Sam sighed.
“I see. Well, I’ll get to it as soon as possible.” He nodded.
Dean begrudgingly broke the demon trap, letting Crowley disappear. Sam pat Dean’s shoulder lightly and looked over at him.
“I think we have a couple fledglings to go find and apologize too.” Sam sighed again.
“Yeah, I guess.” Dean agreed and began to trudge up the steps.
When the brothers made it to the top of the steps they looked around to see where the fledglings might have gone. The tiny angels were nowhere in sight from where they stood. Naturally, they began to look around the house, even in the bedrooms to find where they had hidden. Finally, they stopped searching.
“Bobby, have you seen the fledglings?” Sam asked, scratching the top of his head in a perplexed manner.
“I thought you had them in the basement with you?”
“Sonovabitch. Sam! They ran away!” Dean shouted from the front door.
“What do you mean ‘They ran away’?” Sam walked to the front door.
“Look. Angel tracks in the mud.” He pointed out.
“Shit. We need to go. Now!” Sam ordered running out the door, following the tracks.
Dean followed close to him. They couldn’t have gone far, right? They’re only fledglings, tiny ones at that. Then again if Lucifer and Gabriel could get enough energy together they could easily disappear. They heard calm footsteps approaching from around the bend and together they came to a halt. Sherriff Jodi walked around the corner. Gabriel on her back, Balthazar, who was still holding (Name), in one arm, Castiel in the other and, Lucifer clinging to her leg as she walked.
“No! Don’t take us back Miss!” Gabriel cried.
“He said they didn’t want us.” Castiel whimpered into her jacket.
“Which one?” She asked, a smirk dancing on her lips.
“Dean.” Castiel murmured, gripping onto her.
“Oh, then surely it wasn’t true. He doesn’t always think before he speaks.” Jodi smiled before setting Castiel to the ground, whispering something in his ear. Next she dropped Gabe, telling him something which he told to Lucifer. Finally, she mumbled to Balthazar and set him down. The fledglings nodded and ran over to Dean, all hugging his legs.
“Ohmigod!” Dean managed to shout before he fell to the ground.
Sam laughed, “What did you tell them!?”
“I told them that Dean just needed a little love.” She smirked proudly. “I’m going to head out, call if you need anything.”
“Wait. How did you get them?” Dean asked from the ground.
“I found them wandering on the streets. They were trying to hitchhike.”
“Thank you.” Sam nodded gratefully as he lifted Lucifer and Gabriel off of Dean. “We really appreciate it.”
“Any time boys. Tell Bobby I said hello.” Jodi said before sauntering off.
