So these are Ash’s biological parents, Natasha Zsiak and Theloniousz Kowalski.

You see, The Polish couple, didn’t even want to have a child in the first place and couldn’t afford adoption at the time, so they resorted to abuse.
So much abuse that when Ash was only 5 years old, they forced her to stare at the sun for over an hour, causing her to go permanently blind. One of the neighbors of the couple, was the main witness of the case, and after seeing that the couple turned their own daughter disabled, he decided enough is enough and promptly call the authorities. Later that same day, the couple were both arrested and charged with abuse causing disability.
However, Ash’s adoptive father was one of the officers who took her biological parents into custody, and he didn’t want her to be so lonely without parents, so he and his wife decided to adopt her and make her life better again.

Oh, but that’s not the end of the story, since Ash was recently in for a shock.
Not only Did Zsiak and Kowalski not go to college (meaning they had no education) and drink alcohol, but Zsiak also has a rap sheet of petty crimes that she has committed in the past. Including vandalism, forgery, insurance fraud and theft of services, all of which are schemes to make money.
Kowalski, on the other hand, had a clean rap sheet, but after their arrest, he too ends up with a criminal record, and the case itself could leave permanent markings on both of their sheets.

4 months after their arrest, the couple were both convicted and sentenced to 30 years of incarceration for their horrific treatment to Ash, with Zsiak, having a petty criminal record, also receiving 10 years of supervised probation.
Each are currently serving their time in separate prison locations.

And Ash is happy that they learned their lesson and that they got what they really deserved.
