Or as I like to call it, the DigiMoon AU

Years and years and years ago I did draw fanart of this same nature but it's old and ugly. More important however, one night I just wanted to draw (Black)Tailmon like really bad so I ended up drawing Usagi with BlackTailmon and my hand kept on slipping and oops here's a whole gang for ya

Originally I wanted to try to draw Usagi looking like she came straight out of Digimon so in Nakatsuru's artstyle, but once I got to her face I just gave up lmao. IDK how to emulate his art style so I just rolled with mine; this is however why I ended up drawing them all as little kids

Anyways hilariously the more I kept on drawing these the more I got like ideas for how this AU could/would work... like honestly I think you could turn the Dark Kingdom arc into a Digimon story with ease and I think it's hilarious to think about? I'm just saying that because I don't think BlackTailmon would actually be Usagi's partner- I WANTED to draw BlackTailmon, but as far as partners go I do think Lunamon would be a better match for Usagi. So I like to think that in this AU Usagi would be on like a mission with BlackTailmon to find a special Silver Digiegg and its Chosen Child to save the world or something, all while unaware the egg was in fact for her (and the egg was of course Lunamon's). That would leave BlackTailmon just being a mentor/guide like Luna

I drew some inspiration from various sources for their outfits; I wasn't trying to go for a school uniform look but they did end up getting some of that in there due to the influence of the sailor outfits. Minako's outfit got some inspo from Sailor V's outfit (also the goggles (same for Usagi)), I grabbed some inspo for Makoto and Ami from some of their prototype outfits, Makoto also getting some color choises from her school uniform (because I loved the color palette), Rei just got a slightly differently colored version of her school uniform because I ran out of steam, Mamoru has an outfit from the 90's series because I thought it was cute and fitting for him

Anyways Sailor Moon is the champion of Love and Justice so Usagi gets the Crest of Love.

Ami gets Penmon and Knowledge, Rei has Candmon and Friendship.

Makoto's partner is Palmon and her Crest is Courage, while Minako has a Tailmon and Light.

As a last minute bonus I also did Mamoru for the hell of it; because I thought it'd be fitting and play off of Usagi's theoretical Lunamon, I gave him Coronamo and the Crest of Miracles (because Golden Digimental = Golden Crystal haha get it)

I'M NOT DRAWING THE OUTERS OR ANYONE ELSE but I did think about who could get what so I might as well write out the rest

Haruka = Falcomon + Innocence (Purity)

Michiru = either Sangomon or Otamamon + Kindness

Setsuna = Hagurumon + Sincerity

Hotaru = Plotmon + Hope

Chibiusa I like to think would also have Lunamon as her partner

Also, the Starlights all had the same lastname (Kou) so I think it'd be hilarious if they all had different variants of Agumon as their partners (esp. since Yaten/Healer was voiced by Sakamoto Chiba aka Agumon in the 90's series)
