Description
For this redesign I based it off both dragonfly and leafhopper nymphs.

In the Hollow Earth, meganulon are highly abundant and are the scavengers of the ecosystem. Eating up anything and everything that's either dead or is easy prey (humans for ex.). Unlike most other insects, they have a highly developed respiratory system that allows higher intake of oxygen while is how they (and Mothra) have gotten as big as they are. Their "prickly" tails are actually just waxy bristles used for display. They lose these bristles once they've matured into adults. For a majority of their lifespan, meganulon remain as nymphs, stocking up on nourishment for their eventual metamorphosis into flyers.

Meganulon play an important role in the diet of rodans, as their highly fatty bodies are an excellent source of nutrients for both their young and themselves. Note that meganulons can end up being incredibly dangerous as they can swarm in droves and gang up on any unlucky animal unable to escape. Because of the abundance of meganulon in these cave systems, they can be rather bothersome to mothras as they like to go after their eggs and larva. So because of this, mothras and rodans have developed a relationship that benefits both parties: rodans eat the meganulon and the mothras share their territory with them.
