I like the design but he needs a new name and better description of his abilities.
He reminds of that new alien Shock Rock from the Ben 10 Reboot.

You sure you don't wanna change that name, there? Maybe something with a little more, oh, I dunno, effort? I mean, "NRG" at least did something with the original word. But "Energylight"? What about "Vexray" or "Benergy"?
Other than the name, this is definitely a decent Omniverse alien. If I were part of the crew, I'd eventually put him in there... if the show were still running.
