I haven't posted anything new in quite some time and the reason is I havent been doing anything new in quite some time lol! However 2018 is certainly starting out to be a much more productive year art-wise and I hope it continues that way!
This is a new colored pencil portrait of classic Hollywood legend Joan Blondell. Joan may not be a household name like Bette Davis or Joan Crawford but she had a very long career (1930 - 1979) with over 160 movie and TV credits. She was a consummate pro and in her early days was, imo, the sexiest woman in Hollywood.
I took a different approach with this one trying some unusual color combos and less smooth blending. All in all I am very pleased with the results. I hope you like her
