Well first of all I start by saying that I like this pic, it reminds me sad songs and lonely people ( I wrote this without reading the title but now I see that maybe you actually wanted to express something similar e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/> ).
So the impact is good, due to the feelings that the photo makes me feel.
My only dubt is about the first step, I don't know why you've cut it and I don't agree with this choice cause I think that the first step should be the most important thing in the photo. But I like this work, keep on workin in this way : )

Yes I realized that you were probably in a hurry
Anyway as I said the photo is awesome, very very nice and full of "density".
You're welcome, my pleasure ^^

thank you so much

The reason why its cut off is that I was in a hurry taking the photo because the waves came again.
After looking at the picture I decided to leave it that way because it somehow shows that the walker came from far away and did not just these few steps,
so there has to be something prior to this. Just the idea

again: thanks! made me happy to see this

Hey, this is really interesting.
For starters, I like the lack of color here (which is actually odd for me, but happens e.deviantart.net/emoticons/r/r… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Razz)"/>), because the idea then focuses more on the structure of the sand and the footprints. Those, by themselves, are interesting enough to make the picture.

There is only one nitpick I have, and that's that the first (closest) footstep is cut off (and a bit ruined compared to the others). I'd prefer to see it entirely, either by lowering the angle or even better the camera entirely, to get a lower perspective.
Other than that, the light, the processing, all is just right for what I think this image wanted to convey.

One point of interest which also bears a question - why did the footsteps stop? e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
I'm not saying they should've gone to infinity(!), but this way I have several thoughts battling in my mind. The first one is that of "I wonder what happened to the walker that he just stopped walking here", and the other logic steps in and pops up as some sort of an answer with "someone was walking in reverse (you?)", which is then beat by "nah, he must've started there then and that's not it either, so he probably just jumped away from the frame / into the sea from that last one", followed by "nope, then the last footprint wouldn't be so perfect"... lol

So, maybe I over-analyze things here, but that's just where my mind went when looking at it. It's up to you to see if that's what you intended or not, I'm just giving it as a point of view. In fact, it is this question that makes the photo all the more interesting, for me e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
(I'm guessing the explanation lies in the last thing I noticed and that's the image's category - macro? e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>)

All in all - an interesting piece which caught my attention and kept it for quite a bit longer than most, so kudos for that and keep it up e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Wink)"/>

thank you so much for this Critique!
the first one I get actually

Im happy that my picture made you think and wonder for a while, thats what I wanted to achieve.
To answer some of your questions:

I really jumped away from the last one (the far away) and had to hurry because the waves were comming again.
So thats why the first one got a bit cut off but I somehow liked the idea that the unknown walker was there before and he walked into the picture...
And the first footprint already starts to fade away like some old memory...
The rest is your imagination

And I put it actually accidentally under Macro O.o thanks for telling me.

Hehe, ok, that explains some things (you have a good jump lol!)

Well, it started off as a comment, then a long comment, and then it started to become a critique so I figured why not make it one
It's the first one I've ever written too (well, officially here as critique), and as I like to over-analyze things I might just start doing more of them

I love the black depth to the toe imprints, and that it is a momentary art work for being on the beach. You froze a moment in time, and now it is up for interpretation by us, the viewers.

I love it.
