I really like this, it's a modern update for these villains. Yet their original concept and true colors are still there. I think Harve and Two Face seem a bit too suburban. I mean with Harvey I can understand being a married man and what not. I'm not sure about Hugo. Though I've seen him dresses like this somewhere before.

Lulz I meant Have and Strange. I was assuming that Harvey isn't completely into his Two Face thing yet. I don't know.

haha thanks !!! yeah I wanted to give them like a "fresh" look, but without taking away their essense. Everytime I see a re-design, people change most of the stuff that makes the character (visually) so I tried not to do that.
On the other hand, I did try to change Harvey's outfit (I don't really like the black and white one.
And for Hugo, yeah I did take references for his outfit, but I don't remember from where haha

Let me see if I can get this right from left to right...
Scarecrow (Jonathan Crane), Two-Face (Harvey Dent), Bane, Harley Quinn (Harleen Quinzel), The Joker (Jack Naiper I believe), The Riddler (Edward Nigma), Ra's al Ghul, Mad Hatter (Jervis Tetch), Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley), and Hugo Strange. YAY FOR OBSESSIONS XD

You up for making a comic? Ive got the story right here. Two Face persona has gotten stronger and now for very long periods of time he is either Two Face or Harvey Dent. (part 1)

I love what you did with Scarecrow. He has that freaky badass look. A better look than the mutilated corpse look he got in the third season of Batman The Animated Series.
I like the nice simple look you gave Two-Face. Although I do miss the dual colored suits.
Bane looks terrific. It's nice to see him wearing pants besides leather and you pulled off the strong man look without making him look like an over-muscled hulk.
You also did great with Harley Quin. You made her look more mature but still kept that smile on her face.
I love Joker's suit. He looks better without a tie. Is the crowbar a Batman: Under the Red Hood reference?
Riddler looks nice, you made him look more relaxed without being loose like the Joker. I like being able to see all of his hair without that blasted bolder hat.
And *wolf whistles* Ra's Al Ghul is looking handsome. *Howls*!
Penguin seems like he doesn't look so much like his bird persona but that's okay. You got the top hat and monocle right anyway.
And the Mad Hatter looks more like the book character himself. I love his trench coat.
For Poison Ivy, I like how you used her nostalgic Batman The Animated Series costume. You did a nice job on her white skin without making it look like the background.
But the last villain at the end, it can't be Hugo Strange can it? Because if it is all I have to say is....wow.

You're welcome, Mag(I didn't want to call you Maggot because that sounded mean). I wanted to give my thoughts on all of them because just saying they were all cool wasn't enough. Honestly I started out just saying how I felt about Scarecrow and then I noticed I was writing about Joker too, lol.
Speaking of was the crowbar a Batman: Under the Red Hood reference after all? And I have to know, is that guy at the end really Hugo Strange? He just looks so much more muscular than what I'm used to, which is either fat or average build. And if it's not asking too much I would like to know, what gave you the inspiration of the designs for all the characters here?
π: 0 β©: 1
Artofpipeur In reply to JackalyenMystique [2012-03-19 18:53:48 +0000 UTC]
hahaha yeah I saw what you did there.
The crowbar is a reference to Death in the Family, which influenced "Under the red hood", so you could say it's a reference to both.
The guy at the end is Hugo Strange. Here is an image of him being more muscular:

I wanted to make something that looked like designs from a more mature animated series, but without staying to much away from the classic versions. You can see that on Harley, Poison Ivy and scarecrow.
That been said, I also wanted to give them a more fresh look, thats why I mixed two designs of the joker, one from the animated series, and one from the novel "Joker". The same goes to Bane.
