Hello there,This time I wanted to travel to distant places, to Japan and see some Samurai in heavy action. The idea developed along the way - huge monster against one brave samurai. It was a part of study of their clothes design and architecture. I even imagined this shot as a movie scene, where camera would turn around the square center to face the snake's front... if that's clear at all. I decided to finish this painting, because I loved the contrast between ready-for-action samurai and speeding snake/dragon.

I'm so happy to have discovered you today, as the style you have is what I dream to achieve - through hard work and practice of course. ^^ In looking deeper at your paintings, I love the sense of atmosphere, dynamism, and creativity that goes into each one. They remind me of my favorite epic moments in films, such as LOTR. I'm especially fond of the creature designs as those are really difficult to get right, in the sense of originality. Your beasts always come out with this great sense of emotional impact as well as creativity, as is the case with this snake. Great job and keep up the fantastic work! :3

i think what i love about this more than anything is the utter wild ferocity of the dragon. so many "kaiju" images lose that sense of terror, as the whole giant monster idea has, in so many cases, come to represent them as almost friendly beasts. You, however, made this an image of utter terror, and the people on the ground running for their lives really does a lot of further that idea. this is a really wonderful piece of work, my friend!
