Thank you so much! The proportions were my real struggle here so I'm glad you liked them! I see what you mean, I did neglect that part a bit especially the blade, and might indeed look too flat compared to the rest  I'll try to work better with my weapons and details next time, thank you for the heads up! For sure rulers can take away the natural look of the stroke.

Some swords are flat, though. Not entirely but the blades that are usually handled with both hands tend to feel flatter than what you might expect: www.darksword-armory.com/wp-co…

If the blades were too thick then the weapon would be too heavy to handle and it also has to do with who weilds it, since the knight swords are custom made.

YarArts2 does make a sword for a female after all and so the sword can't be too heavy or else it would seem unrealistic for her to handle it.

I believe I saw what you mean but believe me there are indeed swords that look flat. The blade is sometimes as thin that it does look like 2D. Some of them really do look like that. Believe me some of those might indeed look weightless while some look like weighting a ton! It all depends on the style I suppose. But I believe I know what you mean

Hehe for some reason I've been inspired for genderbend lately! Might as well draw the rest of the gang soon  (Really? Cause I did try to do something in the middle of them rather than choose one, I did try to make her curvy with  athletic arms that were not too slim or too muscular... oh well. At least it turned out decent)

Hahaha she probably does! I wonder if it was a problem for her to be taken "seriously" amongst her men in the beginning, being both young and petite and a looker but taking Caleb's personality into account I'm sure she knew how to get her point and authority across when needed, not to say she was not a flirt with the boys sometimes as well, at least before she met a certain someone

Indeed I wanted to maintain Caleb's "untamed" hair look but still soft, not neglected, but not her top priority either, and yeah exactly, I imagined she likes to do a high ponytail to keep it out of her face as well!Oh definetly, Caleb's lively smile is one of his signature traits for me, so I'm glad it makes a transition to her as well! Yup hehe sweet and a bit naughty! 
I have no idea where the idea of the big breasts came from! But I kept thinking it suited her somehow, and makes her look soft despite her athletic features. It also gives opportunity to funny moments cause I'm sure the reason she somewhat "binds" her chest is not only to keep it secure, but also to keep her chest a bit flat under her shirt and coat so her men pay attention to her face and words

The bind itself is somewhat uncomfortable for her, and despite her surpassing that discomfort I imagined a scene where she goes to Dilla (perhaps a bit tipsy) while he's sharpening his knife, and takes his hand still holding the knife, and slashes her bandages straight in the middle of her chest with a clean cut, collapsing next to him mumbling how "she can finally breathe!"  

 Yeah I mean, there are indeed many varieties for anatomy, and even if it's uncommon in real life, in fiction everything is on the table to use, realisms can be cast aside a little unless it contradicts the story, so I thought a little (not so little ) quirk should be ok. I'm glad you think it makes her unique, I really was more drawn to the soft look rather than the "hey this chick has big boobs!!" kind of thing, even if I did imagined some gags and jokes surrounding that  
You think? I personally think that if I made her forearms much thicker she would be dangerously close to looking like Popeye but thanks for the head ups! I'll keep it mind the next time I draw her.   
I'm glad you like her legs and tighs hahaha perhaps she has to have her boots modified! Indeed her lifestyle and roots sure made her physique!

Yeah, she's surprisingly quite the strong girl despite her size and perhaps she cannot hold the sword much higher than that point with one hand but she can surely hold it at least for a good moment!
Exactly! Perhaps this is her first training\sparring session with a certain giant that impressed her so much she couldn't help but "beg" for lessons  
And even in training it's rare for her to take her shirt off but I suppose she really trusts the big guy (And I also needed an excuse to show her physique! )

Hehehehehe! And why the heck not? It could be an interesting series coming up, to see their gender-bent forms (for instance Diego must be a really charming lady since he has a more...feminine daresay beauty even as a man compared to Caleb and somehow I do imagine him a few inchest taller, dunno if that was what you had in mind of him, perhaps they are the same height after all, but for some reason I do imagine his female form somehow Cornelia's height or around 1,70 and that long reddish-like hair must be really interesting! And perhaps would have more modest chest since she would be an archer and so the upper body would be the most exercised rather than the lower part since the string of the bow is dang hard to pull. I tried once...when I was six years old and it is dang harder than it looks like! For sure the design would be interesting ) so yeah...why not? Oh man somehow I am not sure if I wanna see a male Assara there! and I dunno if perhaps we should inform others about her...ahem......makeover first so the male version will have both! But JESUS CRHIST the nightmarish thing!

Well perhaps others feel a slight hint of fear for her from the very beginning, I mean even if they do not know for sure that she is a Whisperer, they still suspect it or they can see that she doesn't look like them and perhaps Julian did prepare them to accept her by having her by his side all the time and everything. Persuasion works in many ways, plus Cale could possibly have taken a few of the old Rebels such as Drake by her side and they too helped her..."propaganda" for her leadership. But yeah not only by personality but with pretty much everything someone can make sure they are properly respected. Hahahahahahaha! I am sure she did have a small adventure or two with some of her comrades from time to time!

Hehehehehehe of course that would be the case and yeah probably she likes to comb it to make it smooth in the morning but during the day she could rufle it, run her fingers through it while thinking and many more. She probably doesn't have much time nor will to do...hairstyles and everything (I imagined much like Diego who simply keeps his hair wrapped up and doesn't bother any further with it). Well...we often give to characters traits that are on us or that we are familiar with to relate more with them. For example I can relate with her now with her hair that does have a similar length to mine, apparently not able to grow much more, and also the fact that my hair too might be smooth the one moment and looking like freaking straw the other! or the short yet thick thighs and the male-like towards hourglass-like bodyshape. The same way you might choose a trait to someone on something you have or something you have seen in a close person to you or something so yeah there you have it

Yeah I figured it out that would be the thing. I mean in my mind when I see her with it I interpreted it as not only for practical reasons so it will not bounce and hurt her but also out of reasons to bring her body closer to the "male bodytype" but of course not in terms of gender or something but so the others will not focus on her "female traits" of her body and rather look in her eyes for it. So yeah that was what I thought as well.

Well I never said it is impossible. I had one college at elementary and junior high school that had big chest and she was about the same height as I am. She didn't have THAT much of a big chest but it was certainly bigger than mine for example so yes it is possible. It is just rarer that's all. Besides yes first of all we don't need to think about body analogies TOO much in comics (especially when we talk about aliens for crying out loud! ) and second we can also presume that if Cale was supposed to be the perfect copy of her mistress Phreya, then that means she was to have her bodytype, her tall, lean bodytype with the full volumtuous breasts so...instead of coming out like that, she came out tiny, sturdy and petite so, what tells us that for some reason, her "brest genes rebelled" and came out as they should have been if she had Phreya's bodytype? (random random RANDOM explanation ) so there you have it! It is perfectly normal

Of course most people see a petite girl over there (another cross I myself have to bear! ) but yeah I bet indeed there would be some jokes about that and of course Cale would either play along or pick a fight with them depending on her mood I suppose!

Oh no I didn't mean in terms of muscle or anything. I was thinking that usually the female forearms have more fat than men mainly because women are generally more "fatty" than men (the normal body weight standards includes more percent of fat for women than for men) and especially the arms are hard part for women to exersize or make it totally fatless st2.depositphotos.com/2389277/… or something but then again it is Caleb/Cale we're talking about so yes maybe in terms of everyday training and also the...Escanor genes once again normal rules don't apply for her! It is not like it looks bad. On the contrary. I was just expressing a thought it doesn't really need to be that way! You can never apply rules to bodytypes or anything. It differs from person to person after all. So if I have a specific image of female Caleb in mind that doesn't mean it should respond to your image, plus it also doesn't mean that either of us is right or wrong.

Anyway like I said I really like the way she looks like. I was just expressing a thought. You don't really need to follow it!

Of course! And besides even if her blade weighted as much as five killos, she could lift it. She just wouldn't be able to weild it with one hand, at least not sufficiently but to work with one hand something that is heavier it doesn't necessarily mean that one cannot handle it for a little while. We all did it. I myself had lifted an eight kilogram weight with one hand and I could handle it for a good amount of time but of course I cannot go on eternally like I could go with one or two kilos. So yes she probably can move the thing with one hand, it is just that she needs both in order to weild it.

Yeah the gloves looked great and it was indeed a great idea to keep them. We are indeed creating the best out of both worlds aren't we?! The comic's potential and plotlines combined to the epicness and the darkness of the animated series along with our wonderful and evil ideas! Hehehe but jokes aside, indeed I think that wearing gloves helps the hands from being injured and believe me I got countless blisters in my hands while doing kendo and I even had thick gloves for it! So yeah it wouldn't be too practical for someone holding too much of the sword to do it with naked hands. It causes blisters and scratches the skin and believe me the pain is not easy to deal with!

You know first hand how much not-kind I am! So... Hehehehe it is nothing really.

Yeah silly ones! Now mine has started having even more issues and it loses the date and everything and I have to re-set the date and the clock! Black Friday is coming so maybe I find a laptop that won't weight 10 kilograms to replace it! My laptop is almost 15 years old too! Hahahaha!

Yeah it surely could be nice! ( What Diego looks more like a pretty elf compared to Caleb?? Nobody tell him that!
Diego: "that new guy you recruited is looking at me funny..." Caleb: "Must be your delicate features." I get you you mean tho, perhaps female Diego would look like a lovely fair maiden (that can shoot an arrow through your skull!) and she would definitely be taller than Cale, everyone is probably taller than Cale, even Elyon! Jaoral takes a look at her and goes like "You know what? I really shouldn't complain..." Yeah she could be something around Corny's size with the long red hair of hers, and yeah with much smaller chest size to combine with archer abilities. I tried it once when I was younger too, it's quite the effort to pull the string indeed. )
Oh boy, a male Assara would probably be larger than Ballard! And if he gets even larger in exile... just get out of the way the man is literally a mad bulldozer! For sure we can reveal what happens to her look, I might prepare a drawing for that as well!
(Oh I see then! Yeah I kept in mind what you pointed out and realised  it was true, so I tried to keep all proportion well combined with her size, while still stying to make her sturdy enough It's all alright! )

Indeed there's also the detail of her being a whisperer and peculiar and maybe that freaks them out. Hehehe it would be sweet to see Julian walking along with the small girl by his side like that all the time! Indeed she could already have been in the good graces of the "veterans", and she surly would know how to gain her proper respect. Of course, she was probably just as frisky as young Caleb used to be with the women, so maybe she had her bit of fun

That would be such a subtle but nice detail of her character, for her to run her fingers through her hair while pondering about something. She definitely does not! But even later when living in peace and with all the time in the world, I don't see her focusing on her vanity much (Indeed, tho perhaps Diego would turn a but more vain if he ended up with more time or living in the castle!) hahaha yes! I imagine what this one does to her giant who's luckily not as easy to embarrass as his sibling and at the same time throwing some flirt words at the earth guardian just for playful innocent fun! 
For some reason I really don't like to place or project myself or my traits onto stories and characters, I find it very cringey but it's a possibility that I do it subconsciously without noticing, and the same goes indeed to using traits that I like and gather from the people around me, and it's indeed a way to relate to characters. I was actually thinking of giving her longer hair, but found this one was much better! Hahaha I can see how you relate to that indeed, yeah that and I was just thinking "soft", I don't know why I wanted her to irradiate an aura of softness, probably for the same reason and because of an image I keep making in my head of Dilla(male or female ) embracing her and loving her softness
Yeah, I was a actually thinking of putting a note here because of that saying  something like "She is not trying to bind her chest because of gender problems! There are just not many sport bras laying around in a war zone medieval world!"   But I'm trusting people get it, or at least I hope! So yeah she is also trying to get her men more focused.

Of course you said "it's not really common" and that's what I said as well "uncommon" not impossible I've also seen short people with big chest so I know it's possible. Yeah that's the beauty of fantasy and fiction, everything goes if you feel like it!  Hahaha Phreya: "Such a deformed child... At lest she got my bosom and eyes." I wonder if some poor soul who witnessed Phobos\Phreya and survived took a glance at Caleb\Caleb and got terrified by his\her eyes! Even if perhaps Phobos eyes are more on the lime green tone like felines and Caleb is more emerald green.
Hahaha I imagine Caleb as the polar opposite of Jaoral when reacting to jokes concerning her size or general mocking directed at her, she simply plays along indeed, or cooly makes the joke bounce back I imagine that Caleb as a leader learned to discipline his temper so it does not control him or is used against him and Cale is the same. Of course everyone has limits and it's totally possible for a remark or malicious joke to get too far and trigger a bad or even aggressive reaction from her (maybe someone other than Diego referring to Dilla as savage ) and Caleb can also be too impulsive and bold sometimes.
I see, sure that's true there's also the natural fat of females! I was also looking at some Marvel artists that draw their heroins with arms in these style, so since they seem to really know how to balance soft with strong I used them as reference
Oh so you actually meant the upper arm! I understand "forearm" as the part between the elbow and wrist parcour athelethes are actually a great idea for reference (I'm sure she did similar exercise while running away haha) and those are lovely for Diego as well, hahaha Caleb is a "unique model" there are no others like him! 
Don't worry I only take the advice I believe it also fits with my ideas, but I like to keep all of them in mind anyway, people on the outside can sometimes see what I don't

fem Diego: "He's also 9 feet tall!!" 

Cale: "And?"

fem Diego: *gets closer to whisper in her ear " AND He will IMPALE you if you even try to do that !!

Cale: * Smirks mischievously with a blush * 

fem Diego: "SWEET LIGHT OF MERIDIAN!! THAT WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO BE ENCOURAGING CALE!!"  
 
 This is even better to imagine when you realise that Dilla probably heard this whole conversation perfectly! 

(Oh I'm sure the giant noticed VERY WELL, her peacocking, perhaps much more than she imagined, he perhaps simply does not let himself get distracted by it as much as she hoped he would! At least not on this particular moment ) 

True and this is a standard one, not a fancy kind just practical and at hand. I do imagine Cale\Caleb has a more personal favourite sword (perhaps that one you made Dilla kiss after she thinks he died" which I also imagine it's not that fancy, but perhaps is better quality of materials and has some subtile leather details\wraps on the hilt. 
Yeah it's indeed just a great balance between the cartoon and the comic! Oh boy yes! Yeah I know that feeling a bit myself,  I didn't wield anything but when I used to go to the gym frequently I used to get blister from the rowing machine or from holding on to the handrail of the steps machine so I also had to get some gloves.

Oh that sucks! I hope it gets better or that you indeed find a new one on black Friday. Wow that's an old boy! Very durable too for lasting so long! That's great ( Oh Please don't wait for my comments to post stuff! Otherwise you won't get nothing up there, and other people need to see it too! Of course it would be, and I suppose it would be significally easier for you than making all those scenes with the backgrounds and everything I mean since your job and everything takes you lots of your time and of course your genderbending images are famous around this site! I must say that many people admire your creativity at transfering the male characters to females and the other way round. (Hahahaha! But it's true! Hahahahahaha! Oh man! Caleb threatening be bisexual! Hahahahahaha! Kidding! Hahahaha! Yeah! A fair maiden...with deadly arrows indeed! I dunno if she would hate to be called "fair maiden" after all! Hahaha! Thinking that people are underestimating her or something! -by the way I dunno what you have in mind for Diego's name. Perhaps Diane or Diana would be good candidates since she is also the goddess of hunting and she is an archer so... - ) Hahahaha! Really? I was imagining that Elyon was shorter than 1,50! Of course super-athlettes have lower body fat but usually they say that female body fat should be around 18% for the natural levels for an average person. Yes perhaps and that was what I imagined. I was inspired by the sword he is shown to carry on his back in the anime for it.
