Is this mission set during KH1?
Because according to DDD, Traverse Town is a world that only appears in emergency when the other worlds are destroyed (from the wiki: "When the worlds are restored after the defeat of Ansem, Traverse Town was no longer needed, so it fell into the Dreaming Realm, where it would stay until needed again.").
So, from CoM on, Traverse Town had once again become a "sleeping" world...
